Can we give the DJ or band our own song list?
Yes, and you should. Share a must-play list, a do-not-play list and the exact tracks for entries, the varmala and any family dance. Guest requests are fine within reason; the DJ fits them in where they suit the floor and the timings. Decide who in the family can pass on requests so the console is not crowded.
Who arranges permission for music at our event?
Sound permissions and any licences are a matter for the organiser and the venue, so check the venue's rules and cut-off time first. Our artists play within the timings the venue allows, and we advise you on what to ask the venue while you plan.
What happens if the function runs late?
Each listing states its hours or show length, and the written quote repeats them. If you think the evening may stretch, agree on overtime in advance, because the artist may have travel or another booking later, and remember that the venue's own cut-off may end the music regardless.
Do the artists bring their own sound system?
It varies by act. DJ listings include sound and lights; singers usually bring their own keyboard, tabla or harmonium but need amplification; dance troupes perform to tracks played on the event's sound system. The quote says what each act brings and what it needs from the venue or the DJ.
How is an entertainment booking confirmed, and what if we cancel?
You send a request, we call back and send a written quote; the date is confirmed when the advance on it is paid, and the balance is due on or before the event day. If you cancel, the advance is adjusted against costs already incurred and the rest is refunded. If we cannot deliver a confirmed booking, everything paid is refunded in full.
