Cost factorsWhat decides the price of a havan
A single-kund havan needs one pandit, Navgraha Shanti uses two, Rudra Yagya five. Each additional pandit adds dakshina, but it is also what lets the vidhi be completed properly within the time the muhurat allows.
A jaap is counted in repetitions, and a sava lakh Mahamrityunjay jaap takes many pandit-hours spread over several days. The count you choose — sava lakh, or a smaller number the pandit suggests for your purpose — moves the cost more than anything else here.
Ghee, mango-wood samidha, havan samagri, the separate samidha for the grahas, dry fruits and a coconut for purnahuti — a bigger havan with more ahutis simply consumes more. Pure ghee in quantity is a noticeable line in any yagya.
A terrace yagya may need a shamiana, durries and a brick-and-sand base for a larger kund. In a flat, a portable kund and floor mats are enough. Setup grows with the number of pandits and the number of family members sitting in.
A havan with family only ends with simple prasad. Feeding the pandits and guests a meal after a yagya, or inviting the neighbourhood, becomes its own line in the quote, priced by the number of people and the menu.

Why does Rudra Yagya cost so much more than a simple havan?
It is done by five pandits, involves a long recitation and a much larger havan, and runs for several hours. The extra pandits and materials make up most of the difference.
Is ghee included in the havan price?
When the listing includes samagri, the quote states the ghee and havan materials it covers. If the family prefers to supply its own ghee, tell us and the quote will adjust.
Can we pay the pandits directly?
Payments go through the written quote — the advance to confirm the date and the balance on or before the day. Any personal offering you make to the pandits at the end is your own choice and separate from it.
